Obtaining an accredited certification is an investment of time and money. The cost can be overwhelming for some students. The National Exercise Trainers Association (NETA) values education, recognizes the importance of certification, and is committed to helping students obtain a credential to launch their career in the fitness industry.
We are pleased to announce NETA’s Michael Wollman Memorial Scholarships for college and university students seeking to obtain certification as a group exercise instructor or personal trainer. Scholarships will be awarded to up to 5 recipients in 2023 and we hope to provide more opportunities in the future!
Each scholarship awards NETA’s Group Exercise Instructor Premier Plus Study Package($399 value) and NETA’s Personal Trainer Premier Plus Study Package ($549 value), including registration for the NCCA-accredited certification exams.
Qualified applicants must be a legal resident of the United States, enrolled in a college or university in pursuit of a fitness-related degree (e.g., kinesiology, exercise science, physical education), and have minimum GPA of 2.5.
Applications will be accepted through January 31, 2023. Incomplete applications will not be considered. All applications will be thoughtfully evaluated, and up to 5 recipients selected by NETA’s Scholarship Committee. Recipients will be notified via email by March 31, 2023.
