Workshop Promotion Media Kit
NETA wants your workshop to be a huge success. You need participants to make the workshop happen! We have found that the most successful way to increase participation is to “Spread the Word”! We’ve made this easy by providing the following items:
NETA Catalogs
NETA will mail the 36 page course catalog to fitness people in your area. You will receive a bundle of these to distribute to your staff or anyone that may be interested in the workshop.
Posters Advertising the Workshop
NETA will provide posters to help promote the upcoming workshop. Please hang them areas visible to potential participants.
Electronic Flyer for your Staff
You will receive a PDF copy of a workshop flyer customized for the workshops that you are hosting. The flyer contains basic information about the workshop. Please forward these to your staff via email. Please note: Staff discounts and promo codes are listed on the flyer and should not be shared with the general public.
Electronic Flyer for the Public
You will also receive a PDF version of the Public Flyer. This version is generated for the general public and does not contain the staff discounts. Please share this with your contacts.
Sample Facebook Event Post
A great way to spread the word is by utilizing social media by creating a Facebook event for your workshop(s)! It is very simple, just log into the Facebook page and select “Create an Event”. Fill in the blanks for event name, description, dates, time, and upload a picture. Also, make sure to request NETA cohost the event to increase visibility!
Sample Facility Website Publication
If your facility has a section on its website, please have the NETA event listed. This is a great way to reach members that may be interested in taking the next step to becoming a fitness professional.
It is important that you begin promoting the workshop at least 10 weeks prior to the event. There are discounts that apply if individuals register 30 days in advance, so we need to let them know so they have sufficient time to register in time to qualify for the discounts.
The following are prime locations for you to post workshop posters, hand out brochures and send electronic flyers via email:
- Fitness Centers, Health Clubs and YWCA/YMCA’s
- Park and Recreational Facilities
- Colleges, Universities, Community Colleges including Campus Recreation Center
- City Community Centers
- Hospitals, including Wellness Centers, Staff Rooms, and Physical Therapy Departments
- Anywhere exercise professionals hang out, i.e. coffee shops, cafes, diners, etc.
Networking
Contacting other fitness facilities in your area is an integral step in informing people, in and around your surrounding communities that a Fitness Professional Workshop is coming to the area.
It is also very important that your Workshop facility’s fitness and front desk staff be informed about your Workshop(s). Explain to them the opportunity your Workshop will bring to their facility and their cooperation and promotion will benefit everyone.
