Verify A NETA Certification
It is important for employers, consumers, and other stakeholders to verify the authenticity of credentials. To earn NETA’s Group Exercise Instructor or Personal Trainer Certification, candidates must pass NETA’s NCCA-accredited certification exam and hold a valid emergency cardiac care (CPR/AED) certification including a live hands-on practical skills evaluation. NETA’s Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer Certifications are valid for two years from the date of issue. Certificant’s must earn a minimum of twenty continuing education credits (CECs) to be eligible for recertification.

Digital Credentials
NETA has partnered with Accredible to issue digital credentials to those who have earned NETA’s NCCA-accredited Group Exercise Instructor or Personal Trainer certification. Secured by blockchain technology, digital credentials provide consumers and employers with the ability to quickly and confidently verify the authenticity and status of a certification. Effective January 1, 2019 all new and renewed NETA Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer certifications will be issued in the form of digital credentials.
