Advanced Yoga Specialty Certification
NETA’s three-day Advanced Yoga workshop is the culmination of NETA’s Yoga Teacher Training program. Participants in this workshop will apply learning from the full 200-hour program to practice teaching, skills, assessments, and final projects to learn from personal and shared experiences. Seva yoga, the yoga of service, with be discussed in-depth with an overview of its history and philosophy and application to today’s practice.
This advanced yoga teacher training workshop will dive deep into the anatomy and physiology of the fascial system, applied to a breakdown of the foundation, alignment, benefits, safety, and modifications of advanced poses. Intermediate hands-on assists will be practiced, along with several types of meditation and chanting practices.
This culminating experience will provide two sample classes for participants to experience higher-level instruction, as well as ample time for practice teaching under the supervision of an experienced yoga teacher. This course also serves as the final preparatory step for teachers wishing to apply for Yoga Alliance registration. Participants in NETA’s Advanced Yoga teacher training workshop must have completed all of the pre-requisite workshops in the program, the independent study assignments, and received clearance to register by NETA’s Director of Education.
