Becoming a Yoga Professional Workshop

NETA’s ten-hour, one-day Becoming a Yoga Professional Specialty Certification workshop goes beyond the fundamentals of teaching classes to growing one’s influence and better serving others, by addressing topics that everyone approaching yoga as a business opportunity should know. This workshop will examine the ethics of teaching yoga with real-world situations, and explore avenues of finding and embracing one’s voice as a yoga leader via introspection and self-reflection.

Topics including liability, scope of practice and risk management will be introduced for a number of scenarios to include independent contract work, studio ownership, and teaching in the community. Participants will have in-depth discussion on business strategies such as building relationships and networking, effective marketing strategies, establishing a brand, and growing a social media presence, with opportunity to reflect on personal goals and set future plans.

This yoga specialty certification will provide a sample yoga class for participants to experience how to inject personality into a class, as well as ample time for discovering their unique voice under the supervision of an experienced yoga teacher. Upon completion of the one-day Becoming a Yoga Professional workshop, participants are equipped to grow their yoga business.

It is highly recommended to take NETA’s Yoga Foundations Specialty Certification first; Becoming a Yoga Professional is a stand-alone specialty certification designed to enhance your yoga outreach and is also part of NETA’s 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program.
